Rare. Justinian II was an exceptionally devout ruler. During his first reign, 685-695 A.D., he became the first Byzantine emperor to place an image of Christ on his coinage; he relegated his own portrait to the reverse, where he titled himself "Servant of Christ."

Usual areas of flatness but portrait of Christ
