Aelia Capitolina (formerly Jerusalem), 215-217 A.D.

Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Caracalla right / Eagle standing facing, wine jar between legs, ivy leaf in exergue. Prieur 1635. Ex MMAG XXV, 17 November 1962, lot 536.

Very Rare. Silver coinage was struck at Aelia Capitolina only at the end of the reign of Caracalla and under Macrinus.
