Head of Commodus right as Hercules, wearing lion skin headdress / Club between bow on left and quiver on right. RIC 253.

Scarce. Toward the end of his reign Commodus fancied himself a reincarnation of Hercules and scandalized Roman society by fighting wild animals in the Colosseum.
