Irregular
raised forms / Two incuse punch marks, one rectangular, the other
square. Traité I 373, pl. ix, 16.
Extremely Rare.
Most early electrum coinage is on one of two weight standards native
to western Asia Minor, the Phocaic standard or the Milesian standard.
Pieces with irregular surfaces, struck on the Attic standard, have
been found on the Samos and are believed to represent the island's
earliest coinage.
