ANATOLIAN FEMALE IDOL

Early Bronze Age, circa 2700-2100 B.C.
Marble, Length: 8.5 cm.

Kiliya type. Wide, flat body with rounded shoulders, the arms separated from the torso by deep, diagonal cuts. The body is lozenge shaped, with small, knob-like breasts, an incised pubic triangle, and a notch at the bottom indicating the two legs. Head broken off and now lost.
